Mental Health Evaluations
How Are Mental Health Evaluations Valuable?
Mental health evaluations are like the mental health equivalent of a medical MRI. Evaluations provide a wealth of valuable information that is vital to an accurate diagnosis and appropriate recommended treatment options. Evaluations provide information quickly and accurately that may otherwise take months or years to surface using only counseling and/or subjective sources of information.
Evaluations include:
- Clinical Interview
- Mental Status Examination
- Standardized Assessment Instruments
- Professionally Written Report
- Evaluation Feedback Session
Evaluations are performed using a combination of clinical interviewing and standardized assessment instruments (which are often completed utilizing paper/pencil or a digital format). The evaluation results are presented in a written report and include a diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
